Is the process painful?

Both treatments involve minimal discomfort. For Scalp Micro Needling, we apply a topical numbing cream beforehand. With SMP, most clients describe the sensation as mild and tolerable.

How many sessions will I need?

Scalp Micro Needling typically requires 6-8 sessions spaced 2-4 weeks apart for optimal results. SMP usually requires 2-3 sessions spaced 7-10 days apart to achieve the desired density and color match.

How long do results last?

Scalp Micro Needling results vary based on individual response, but many clients experience improvements for 6-12 months before maintenance sessions are recommended. SMP results can last 4-6 years before requiring a touch-up.

Is there downtime after treatment?

Scalp Micro Needling may cause slight redness for 24-48 hours. SMP has minimal downtime, with possible mild redness for 1-2 days. Both allow you to return to most activities immediately.
